They're also of the school of thought that having a digital marketing degree is all that's required to become a successful digital marketer, and that automatically qualifies you a digital marketer. If your contents does not make your visitors to comeback next time to read new posts on your blog or website, increase daily traffic, or cause your readers to take necessary action, then you're not a good content marketer and you need to review your content marketing strategies. How To Target The Right Audience In Your Social Media Business.

There's absolutely no doubt that, succeeding in social media business as a social business owner, requires you to target the right audience who are in-tandem with your business, and build a strong connection & lasting relationship with them. Targeting and connecting with the right market in your social media business will help to expand it to a wider market and audience participation .Who are your target market or user? Or which category of people do you advertise your business to on social media. This is one question you must begin to reflect on, in order to discover some of the factors that might be stalling the success of your social media business. Do you make the mistake of connecting with, and advertising your business to every Tom, Dick and Harry on social networking sites? Without really finding out if they're interested in what you do? This will amount to unecessary waste of time, because if you're not telling the right people about your business on your Facebook page, Twitter, Linkedin, Pinterest and other major social networking sites, your business will definitely not grow and you'll not be generating as much leads or sales you'd want to get. It's just like telling someone to buy a product he or she never needed. Or how would you feel if someone tries to present and convince you to buy something you never liked, will that bore and piss you off? If your answer is YES! Then, it is the same way your business is boring to those who aren't interested in it. This is one major reason why a lot of social business owners finds it very difficult to get traction, generate leads and converts sales, and it consequently makes them get bored and nuseated about their social media marketing experience. Who are your target audience? Are you showcasing your business to the right people? On your Facebook page, who are your fans? do they actually find your posts & updates interesting to like and even comment on them? On twitter, who are your followers? And which category of people are you following? Do your followers have your tweets retweeted, favorited, replied or even send you direct messages based on your tweets? What about on linkedin, pinterest and other social networking sites, do your connections and followers find time to engage with you, by sending you a direct message via email? Or probably subscribe to your business blog or website? Do they even take action or reply to your messages on their email address? These are some of the down-to-earth questions you should be asking yourself, if you really want to make your social media marketing experience worthwhile. Eventhough the social media revolution has revolutionized how we do business in the world, by making advertising, marketing and connecting with anyone in the world very easy, but you must certainly streamline your contacts and target a particular niche and category of people who are favourably disposed to your business niche. Without doing this, you might be building the wrong connections, which will certainly make your social media business inefficient. It isn't about how many Facebook page likes your Business page gets on Facebook, nor how many Twitter and Pinterest followers you have, neither nor how many Linkedin connections you can boast about. What is more important is how many of your fans, followers and connections on social media are ready to engage with you on this social platforms or even take a second look at your posts, tweets and updates. It is far better to have few Facebook fans on your page, few Pinterest and Twitter followers and Linkedin connections who loves what you're doing, the posts, tweets and updates you're sharing and are interested in working with you to know more, than having too many fans, followers and connections who just like your page just because you asked them to like it, or followed you simply because they want a follow back from you, or connect with you on Linkedin because they like your profile account or picture. To succeed in social media business, people need to connect with you for the right reasons, because they love what you're doing. This is the only way you can carve out a niche for yourself on social media marketing, and make your social media marketing experience very successful. If your Facebook business page posts, Twitter tweets or Linkedin updates are not getting enough likes and comments, retweets, replies and favorites, then it is time to re-examine your connections to know if you're actually sharing your posts, tweets and updates with the right audience. As my suggestion, for you to target the right audience to market your business to, on social media: first, on your Facebook page, clearly give a detailed description of what your page is about, before advertising it on Facebook. On your Twitter account, use the maximum 160 characters allowed by Twitter to detail your bio, and share tweets that conforms with your bio. Do the same on every social sites, and always share corressponding posts.

How To Use The Social Media To Revolutionize Your Business.

The social media revolution has indeed made doing business on the internet very interesting. It has undoubtedly shapen the way business is being done online, and had given business owners the leverage to transact their business without so much stress. Gone are the days when transacting your business gets so clumsy and mechanical. Where you've got to deal with the challenge of meeting your clients or customers physically before you can sell your services or products, you find it extremely difficult to build a closer relationship with your fans, customers and clients and keep in touch with them, you also find it very awkward updating people about recent developments in your business, and also probably, your business is limited to a brick and mortar business within your locality. Gone are those days. Because, today, the social media revolution has revolutionized the way we do business, and make it possible to reach everybody, wherever in any part of the world they may be, and subsequently connect and frequently keep in touch with them. This feat would'nt have been possible without the social media revolution, revolutionizing our relationships. However, it is quiet unfortunate that a lot of business owners are yet to take advantage of the social media revolution to revolutionize their business. But i hope that after reading this post, you'll certainly realize what you've been missing all the while and take a decision to embrace this revolution. Just like business is all about connections and build-ing relationships, similarly, the whole idea of the social media is to build more relationships and expand your connections. If your business cannot establish a strong relationship with people and also draw connections from a good number of people, you definitely cannot achieve the maximum success you desire, and you may not also go far in that business. Business is all about expanding your connections and building more relationships, which is what the social media is also all about. And the social media apparently makes it even more easier for you to build those relationships and widen the scope and reach of your business by connecting with more people. Because, apart from those who are connected to your business offline, there are still a huge number number of people who wants to meet and connect with your business online, and it is only through the social media that can be possible. Imagine reaching 1000+ Facebook page subscribers daily with your business, and updating them about your latest products and services. Can you phathom the volume of sales you would have been making? So if you're yet to take advantage of the social media revolution to revolutionize your business, you're inadvertently eluding yourself of the benefits of using the social media to power your business. Apart from Facebook, which is unarguably the biggest social networking site today, with over a billion subscribers worldwide, there are also other big social media sites that also generates huge amount of traffic to your business blog or website, or anywhere your business is found online. #Twitter is one of such social networking sites, and it is next to Facebook in terms of user population. Infact, twitter is best for keeping your followers and subscribers updated about your business, and it is easier for people who are more in-tandum with your business to connect with you. Other big social media sites, that you can use to build relationship and expand your business connections are: Linkedin, Pinterest, Stumbleupon, Digg, Reddit, Tumblr, Delicious, etc. Free blogging platforms you can also use to build a closer relationship with your audience and also expand your business on the internet are: Blogger and Wordpress. Blogger and wordpress are free blogging platforms that allows you to create a blog for your business and use it to share frequent updates about your business. It is important to note that, if you really want to build a closer relationship with your audience, and you want your fans, followers and subscribers to take you very seriously, you must have a blog or website for your business, where you share posts about your business, so people can really know more about what you're doing. Having a business blog or website will also help you to frequently update your social media business accounts, when you share your posts to each of them. All these efforts will make your fans, followers, clients or customers take you very seriously, and they'll also see you as a professional in your niche. These are the simple ways you can take advantage of the social media revolution to revolutionize your business and make it go viral on the internet. Also, let me quickly point out the fact that the social media is all about connections and building relationships like i said earlier, and the best way you can keep the relationship going and expanding your connections, is through frequent social media interactions and engagements with your audience.

The Social Media Revolution.

The social media revolution ostensibly took effect in 2004 when Mark Zuckerberg launched Facebook. Facebook until today has remained the biggest social networking platform in the world with over one billion users. Like every other revolution that took place in the world, the industrial and technological revolutions. Social media revolution which is also an offshoot of the technological revolution has greatly impacted postively on the world. It has made connections and interactions with different people across the globe easier, irrespective of where in the globe you are. There's no gainsaying that the social media has made Companies, business organizations, agencies, NGO's, and every other business owners connecting and building a closer relationship with their customers or clients, friends, employees or colleagues more easier in the last one decade. Therefore the social media can be said to have helped in bringing businesses scattered all over the world more closer to the people. Apart from Facebook, other major social networking sites that has revolutionized how business is done are: Twitter, Linkedin, Google Plus, Pinterest, Youtube, Instagram, Foresquare, Yelp etc. Having a Facebook page for your business will help you build a stronger and better relationship with your fans, clients or customers on social media and also bring your business closer to them. Twitter is mainly an instant advertisement and micro-blogging platform used to share breaking news, stories and updates about your business in 140 characters and also build a close relationship with your followers. Linkedin on the other hand is a professional social media platform which is used for building connections with other professionals in your niche or people who share similar business with you. While pinterest and Instagram are picture social media sharing platforms, where you share some pictures about your business with your followers and audience on these platforms. Youtube is a social media video sharing platform, where you share videos about your business, to enable your subscribers have a feel of what your business is like on Youtube. Foresquare and Yelp will help visitors to talk about your business and the location, and leave a remark about it, for other online visitors to see. Two Basic Ingredients Of A Great Content.

"Content Is King". Often have i heard this old phrase. But in social media and content marketing, and also to avoid "content blindness" not just any kind of content, but "Quality Content Is King". A great or quality content is great, not because it is very lengthy and filled with rhetorics. But because it contains two basic and essential ingredients. A very compelling and conspicous content title will make anyone want to click on the link to the blog or website wherever it is shared on any social media platform. While a great content will keep online readers coming back to such blogs or websites to read more. Hence, you need to know the two basic qualities of a great content. Because lack of these two fundamental ingredients might actually be turning off both your current and potential readers. What are the two basic qualities of a great content? Every great content must embody "Information" and "Entertainment" which is what i call "Infotainment". Information and entertainment are the two main qualities that must not be lacking in any great content. Every great content must be very informative and at the same time entertaining. The informative aspect of the content must seek to educate your readers or inform them about trending issues, or something they seem not to have enough knowledge about, through writing. While the entertainment part of your content is intended to entertain them. Make them feel relaxed and interested in reading your content. This can be achieved through your writing style, that is, by making your writing more communicative. Another way of keeping your content entertaining is by attaching relevant pictures or videos to that particular content, for the viewing pleasures of your readers. A lot of people are so attracted to pictures, that they cannot read a particular content for a very long time unless it's entertaining with some pictures embedded in it. All the whole concept of infotainment and infographics must be employed in other to create a great content.

How To Overcome The Challenges Of Social Media Marketing.

There are myriad of challenges that are associated with social media marketing. As a social media marketer, what challenges are you currently facing in your social media marketing experience? I want you to understand that life itself is full challenges, and there's no area of life you're attempting to succeed in, that's without its own challenges. Hence, social media marketing is not without its own challenges, and you must work hard to overcome these challenges, to be able to make your social media marketing experiences worthwhile. What is social media marketing to you as a social media marketer? You may have a personal interpretation and understanding of what social media marketing is, and different people will also give different opinions and understanding of what social media marketing is to them. However, irrespective of our diverse understandings, opinions and interpretations we may give to it, i believe there are two words that are common to everyone, which are: "Social Media" and "Marketing". When you hear of these two words, what comes to your mind? Is it the conventional method of marketing we are used to, where you bring your products or services to social media and start selling? If you say social media marketing is the process of using the social media to market your business, you're right. But the question is, how are you going to use the social media to advertise and market your business? A lot of social media marketers dabble into social media marketing without really understanding the concept, and how it works. Well, on general term, social media marketing is simply the process of marketing your business through the social media and not on social media. Hence, there must be a link somewhere that connects your business with social media. If that link is not there or is missing, then your social media marketing is incomplete. What i'm saying in a nutshell is that, for you to succeed in social media marketing, you must get your business website or blog up and running, and ensure your business have established presence on the major social media platforms like: Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Pinterest, Google plus, Instagram, Foresquare etc. Now we can boldly say that social media marketing is the process of driving traffic from all these social media platforms to your business blog and website. And this is where the link that connects your business with these social networking sites is necessary. However, this is not without some challenges. To be able to pull traffic from these social networking sites to your blog or website, must certainly have some challenges to overcome. Now, lets take a look at few of these challenges. The first and foremost challenge of social media marketing is the challenge of creating, "Trending and Quality Contents". In social media marketing, content is king. Not just any kind of content, but trending and quality content is king. Creating trending and quality content is one of the major challenge a lot of social media marketers are confronted with. Trending contents is a content that's in line with current trends in your niche. While, quality contents will keep readers coming back to your blog or website. Without creating trending and quality contents on your business blog or website, you'll not be able to drive traffic to your website or blog from social networking platforms. You can overcome this challenge by research about trending issues in your niche, and create quality contents that will bring solutions to people's problems and help them find what they've been seeking for. You must keep up-to-date with current and issues that are trending in your niche, and avoid creating blind contents that will not drive traffic to blog or website. Another challenge faced by social media marketers, is the challenge of, "Sharing Your Contents To The Right People On Social Media". This is also a major challenge most social media marketers are confronted with. As a social media marketer, you need to determine the right people to share your contents with on social media. Sharing your contents with the right people will make your social media marketing experience very effective and efficient. Because, the right people who are interested in your niche, must click on the link to your business blog and website to read more. Consequently, to overcome this challenge, i'll urge all social media marketers to go a step further to building a more closer relationship with their fans, followers and customers on social media. They should create a Facebook page and group, Twitter list, Linkedin group and Google hangouts. And share their contents with their fans, followers and customers there, rather than on the general social media accounts. Twitter is best for building real followers who are interested and loyal to your niche on social media. The last challenge i believe social media marketers also face, is "Interacting And engaging With Their Fans, Followers And Customers On Social Media".

How Companies And Business Organizations Can Build Their sCRM.

Having established the fact that companies and business organizations should as a matter of importance, begin to review their social Customer Relationship Marketing (sCRM) in my previous post. The next question now is, how can they begin to build and develop a very effective sCRM that will boost their social media business marketing? For companies and business organization to build an effective sCRM, i will suggest they include sCRM as a program in their PR department and make it an integral part of their company and organization. The next thing i will advice they should do, is to hire a permanent social media consultant to man the sCRM division of the PR department. Whose responsibility will be to schedule a time within the week, probably two or three days in a week to connect, engage and interact with their fans, followers and customers on all the major social networking sites. He or she will also use this period to brief their audience and customers on the latest products or services, successes the company has achieved, or any other update about the company they want their customers to know about. This effort will make their customers, clients, fans and followers to continue to repose their confidence in the company or organization, and feel a sense of belonging. This is the best way companies and business organizations can build and develop their social Customer Relationship Marketing (sCRM). PLEASE I NEED YOUR OPINIONS ON THIS TOPIC. THANKS.

Companies PR's And Their Social Customer Relationship Marketing(sCRM).

Today in my short post, i quickly want to remind companies and business owners of a very important aspect of their business that they might seem to have forgotten about or neglected for a very long time. How are companies Public Relations (PR's) engaging their customers on social media? Or what is the level of relationship between companies PR's and their social media customers? This is a very pertinent question every company must be asking its Public Relations department, in other to discover the lapses in their social media marketing and factors responsible for the inefficiency of their social media marketing. It is the responsibility of the PR department of any company or organization to relay to the public informations about the company or organization and build a strong and lasting relationship with their customers and audience, both online and offline. However, In my little and personal research, i discovered that most companies are yet to establish their business presence on major social media platforms like: Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Pinterest, Google plus and Instagram. This is quiet unfortunate, that in this age of Information Technology, where people are leveraging on the internet to source for information, connect with their favourite business and brands, and build relationships through the social media. A lot of companies and business owners are still eluding themeslves of the great opportunities of using the social media to grow and market their business. Well, that's a topic for another day. But for business owners and companies who already have their businesses established on social media, the most important question is, how is your social Customer Relationship Marketing (sCRM)? Social Customer Relationship Marketing is the process of building strong and lasting relationship and engagement with your customers on social media. Content Marketing: How To Create SEO Contents That Drives Traffic.

There's absolutely no doubt that "Content Is King" when it comes to making impact on the internet as a content creator. This is the slogan of most content creators. But more importantly is the fact that, not just any kind of content, but "Quality Content Is King". And i believe majority of content marketers and content creators will agree to this fact. What is content marketing? Like i've shared with you in my previous posts. Content marketing is the art of creating contents that solves problems. It could be a whitepaper, or any content that's intended to profer solutions to problems. Hence, for your content to be able to pull crowd and cause anyone to take action, it must be creatively and conspicously written, and appeals to the interest of your readers. Your content must strike the thoughts of your readers and convince them of addressing their challenges. Content marketing is an art you must master, if you really want to succeed as a content marketer. However, having talked so much about content marketing in my previous post, it is time to look into another version of content creation, and how you can use it to drive online traffic to your business blog and website. Search Engine Optimization contents (SEO) is another type of content marketing that can drive huge amount of traffic to your blog and website. What do we mean by SEO contents? These are simply contents that are search engine friendly. It is the process of using SEO keywords to create contents that drives online traffic. Sometime's people may not be able to connect with you on social media or even know you on the internet. This is why creating SEO contents for your business is very necessary as a content creator or social media marketer. Through creating SEO contents, people from any part of the world who ordinarily may not have known or meet you social media, will have the opportunity of seeing you online and knowing about your business. Mastering the art of creating SEO contents will also strategically position your blog and website and put it ahead of others on the world wide web. Now, how do you begin to create SEO contents or master the art and skill of using search engine keywords to create contents that will carve out a niche for you on the internet? Search engine keywords are like foods to search engines, that attracts them to your blog or website. For every blog or website that's created and made public, crawlers from major search engines like: Google, Yahoo and Bing, crawls these weblogs and websites to discover these keywords and use them to rank you in search results. How do search engines determine these keywords? And how can you know them? This is where most online publishers and content creators have the challenge. They can create and publish quiet a number of good contents on their blog and website, but it lacks the capacity to drive traffic or rank higher in search engines search results. Search engines uses the words internet users are using to search for informations on the internet to determine their keywords. And you can know these keywords by investigating which words people are typing on search engines or using to source for informations on the internet. When you discover these keywords, you begin to use them appropriately to create your contents. This is simply what it means to create SEO contents, that is, creating contents that are useful to search engines and subsequently to internet users who are sourcing for information in a particular area on the internet. If you're a niche blogger or your website is focused on a particular niche, there are specific keywords that are relevant to your niche, you have to discover those keywords and use them to create your contents. If your blog or website is about blogging tips, social media business, entertainment, politics, health, games, relationship etc. You need to discover the keywords people are using to search for these niche and use them in creating your contents. This will make search engines to visit your blog or website frequently and rank it higher in search results, because you've got the information people are searching for. It will help you to drive more online traffic, because as people find you online, they'll certainly click on the link to your blog or website to see details about it. This is the importance of creating SEO contents, it helps you to carve out a niche for yourself on the internet and cause your website or blog to rank higher than others. If you need more information on this topic, please comment to let me know. THANKS.

However, inspite of the growing awareness about the social media, a lot of companies and business owners are yet to be awakened to this reality and come to terms with the importance of social media in growing their business. Hence they develop aparthy in establishing their business presence on social media. As a business owner, the earlier you start making plans to make your business have a presence on social media, the better for your business. Now, lets get down to our topic for today, which is strategies that will help you succeed in your social media marketing, if you're already a social media marketer or you're using the social media to advertise your business. Does your business have a presence on Facebook, Twitter, Google plus, Linkedin, Pinterest, Instagram etc, then this post is for you. You need to know some basic rules and strategies that will make your social media marketing worthwhile. As you already know, social media marketing is the process of driving traffic from your social media accounts to your business blog or website. For you to be able to pull your friends, fans, followers and anyone from these various social networking platforms to your business blog or website, you must make some extra effort and learn some basic techniques and strategies. Not all social media marketers succeeds in social media marketing. Social media marketing has some basic strategies that makes it very effective and efficient, which is what i want to share with you in this post. The first strategy that will help you succeed in your social media marketing is: "Content Creation". In social media marketing, quality content is king. I have made comparison between content marketing and social media marketing, to know which one is best for online marketing. The truth is that, you can't succeed in social media marketing without learning the art and skill of creating quality and compelling content about your business. The simple, but important fact is that, i find it time wasting clicking on any link shared on my social media platforms where i've got a presence unless such content title is compelling and conspicous enough, and satisfies my quest. This simply applies to a lot of social media users. A lot of people on social media will find it time wasting to click on your link on various social networking to your business blog or website if the title of your content does not seem to answer their questions or meet their needs. This is where a lot of social media marketers fail, they share irrelevant contents on social media, and are probably totally disconnected from the quest and yearnings of their fans, followers and connections. As a social media marketer you need to research and discover what majority of the people are looking for, and see how your business can meet those needs and impact on their lives. When you discover those needs, it then becomes an opportunity for you to sell your business to them through creating quality and compelling contents and share it on various social media platforms. For people to have the courage of abandoning other important things they're doing on social media or which they've planned to do, to click on the link to your business blog or website to take action, there must be some level of creativity in choosing your content link title. A creatively chosen and compelling content title will make anyone want to click on the link to your blog and website to read more, while a quality content will make them keep coming back to your blog or website. The art of content creation is the first strategy you must employ in other to achieve success in social media marketing. The second strategy i want to recommend is: "Consistency". A lot of social media marketers are often guilty of not being consistent with their business brand on social media. They share one thing that's relevant to their business today on a social platform, the next day, they're sharing something that's totally irrelevant to their business. You need to be consistent on social media to achieve success in social media marketing. Choose a particular niche and focus on it, let people know where you stand, this will make the right fans and followers to connect with you on social media and eventually become your customers. The last strategy i want to share with you is: "Social Media Engagement". I've always talked about this. How good is your Social Customer Relationship Marketing(sCRM)? Do you ever find time to engage and interact with your fans, followers and customers on social media? You need to evaluate your sCRM. You can't have a smooth marketing on social media without social interaction and engagement.

Social media branding is basically one of the best and effective way company's and small businesses can brand themselves and gain more popularity on the internet. Facebook branding, Twitter, Google plus, Pinterest, Linkedin and Instagram branding are the best social media platforms you need to use effectively to showcase your company's brand to the vast majority of your potential social media fans, followers and customers. These social media platforms are the best, because they've got very good number of users and subscribers, who always use it to keep up-to-date with latest and trending issues in different areas of life. Using these social networking platforms to brand your company, will automatically tranform and increase your company's marketing ability and visibility and expose it to a wider audience participation. What is Social media branding? Social media branding simply means using the social media to sell or market your company's or business brand. Gone are the days when companies and businesses give a blind eyes to the social media, and express so much naivity about using the social media to advertise their business. Nowadays, people do not need to come to your business or company's location before they can get informations about your company, since they can comfortably know everything about it, right from the comfort of their homes on various social media platforms. And you'll also be getting more loyal customers when people can easily connect directly with your business via the various social media platforms. Now, how do you grow your company's brand on social media? There are various social networking sites your company must have a presence in, in other to effectively grow your company's brand. To begin the process of growing your company's brand on social media, you must create a social media department in your company and hire a social media expert or consultant, whose job will be the management of your company's social media account. Social media branding starts with creating a social media account for your company, and using that social media platform to promote your business brand. Lets take Facebook for instance, which is the largest social media platform with more than one billion users worldwide. Facebook branding for your company is simply done by creating your company's Facebook account, where you tell Facebook users more about your company. But is better to build a more close relationship with your fans, clients and customers on Facebook, because some of them might become so much interested in your company, and want to connect directly and know more about it. This is why it's better to rather than create a general account for your business, create instead, your company's Facebook business page with your company name. It will no doubt help you to build and establish a more closer relationship with your fans and potential customers and clients on Facebook. Advertise your company's Facebook page by paying Facebook a small amount to promote your page for more people to see and connect with it. Similarly, on the other social network, your company must have an account. Create your Company's Twitter profile account and describe your services or products with the Twitter allowed 140 characters. Then, fequently share latest updates and breaking news about your company on this micro-blogging social site. A linkedin profile for your company is also very important, because it will help you connect with other professionals in your niche and share ideas with each other. But to build a more closer relationship with your network, you can go a step further to creating a Linkedin group. You must ensure your company have a presence on all the major social networking sites, but more importantly, ensure you use the same company name and brand for all your company's social media account. It is the first step to building a very strong brand name for your company on social media. Howerver, the most difficult aspect of using the social media to promote your business, is the frequency of connecting, engaging and keeping in touch with your loyal fans, clients and customers on these social networks, it is called social Customer Relationship Marketing (sCRM). This certainly justifies the fact that you need to hire a permanent social media expert, whose job it is, to share updates about your company on the various social media platforms, connect and engage with fans and customers in a chat, and see to the success of your company on social media. Social media branding is actually very simple, you only need to get your business established on major social media platforms, adhere to all social media marketing rules and ethics and promote your business to any level you desire. You can build your company's brand name on social media, and attract more loyal customers and clients. PLEASE COMMENT AND SHARE, THANKS.

Email Marketing: Why It Sucks, Using It For Marketing Your Business.

Email marketing is certainly one of the available online marketing tools. A good number of online business marketers use email marketing as a tool for advertising and marketing their business on the internet. They gather the email contacts or addresses of their fans, friends and followers on various social media, also subscribers to their blogs or websites and send them emails on latest updates about their business (Products or Services). Though, email marketing may be one of the available online marketing tools, and some online business marketers are leveraging on it for marketing their business, and they might be quite successful with it. But i personally don't like using it, at least for now, because it sucks, and i'll tell you why it sucks. There's no denying the fact that some online marketers might be successful with email marketing, but from my recent survey and personal experiences, i discovered why email marketing sucks for some marketers. I discovered that majority of those succeeding in email marketing are marketers who have become somewhat famous in their business and they've got a lot of loyal cutomers and subscribers. Online marketers and business blog or website owners like: Copyblogger, Problogger, All blogging tips and other famous bloggers and web masters who have a good number of followers, subcribers, and their blog or website generates high amount of daily traffic will definitely succeed in email marketing. This is because their business, blog or website has been tested and trusted, and it has become so popular on the internet, hence they've gathered a lot of fans, subscribers and customers who can't wait to see latest updates about their business. It actually takes time to start succeeding with using email marketing as tool for marketing your business online. As a new online business owner, blogger or web master, don't expect to start achieving success or start driving traffic to your blog or website through email marketing, you can be sure that you'll not get any single click to your blog or website through those emails, and you're not going to achieve much with email marketing. I will advice you not to go into email marketing if you're a new blogger or website owner, or your business is new. You need to first establish yourself and your business properly on the internet before starting email marketing. Until your business has garnered so much popularity on the internet, and your blog or website is becoming increasingly visited and generates good number of daily online traffic with loyal subscribers, then email marketing isn't yet for you. Rather than use email marketing as a tool for marketing your business, i'll suggest you make use of Content marketing and Social media marketing. You need to keep creating and publishing good contents about your business on the internet and share them to all the social networking sites where your business have a presence. This will certainly establish you and your business properly on the internet and carve out a niche for it. Another reason why i said email marketing sucks, is that from my survey and experiences, i discovered that of all the online marketing tools and various traffic sources, email marketing actually generates and drives the least traffic to blogs and websites or generate clicks that converts to sales. This is because of the general aparthy of people towards opening and reading their emails. How many people this days login to their email account, opens their mailbox and read their mails? Quite very few people do that. I personally read emails once a day, and i believe a lot of people do same. I believe there's a general aparthy towards reading emails nowadays, probably because of the advent of social media. A lot of persons spends more time on social media, and some even spends the whole day chatting with friends, and engaging in all kinds of social interaction. The social media has made a lot of people to forget about login into their email account to read mails, only very few people do. Another reason why email marketing sucks and does not generate clicks that converts. This is consequent upon some of the mistakes a lot of marketers make in sending emails to their subscribers. Sometimes frequent sending of emails about your business might be boring to your subscribers. Innundating their mailbox daily might be frustrating, and will make them discard your emails. It's boring to open your mailbox and see it innundated with various mails coming from a particular source. This attitude can be debilitating to your subscribers and make them loose interest in opening and reading your mails, or click on the link to your blog or website. You need to have a specific time you send them mails about your business, and let your subscribers be aware of that time. Avoid innundating their mailbox daily with different emails, sending out two or three mails a day is more reasonable, and easier for them to click, open and read it. Share your thoughts.

In future, Social Media Customer Relationship Marketing will be an indispensable tool for the success of any social media marketing. And this is responsible for the low conversion rate in their social media marketing. Companies and business owners, who are marketing their business using the social media should endeavour to develop their social Customer Relationship Marketing(sCRM) techniques in other to achieve maximum success in their social media marketing. You must dedicate a time when you engage and interact with your audience on social media. Find time to share with them details about your business, latest updates about your products or services, trending issues regarding your business or latest developments in your company. It is not enough to just share some interesting updates or post about your business from your blog or company's website, you must go a step further by endeavouring to make out time within the week to engage and interact them when they're online. Set aside a particular day and time within the week, and let them know when you or a company's representative will be online to interact with them and answer all their questions about your business. This will make them feel very important and appreciated, and also make them have a sense of belonging. Make your fans, followers, customers and clients part of your business by building your social media customer relationship. However, mobile marketing or marketing your business through smartphones isn't without any challenge. There are lots of challenges associated with mobile marketing. The challenge of knowing who your customers and clients are, knowing what they want at every point in time, keeping them abreast of latest updates, lost of contact, i.e their phone numbers, the best time to call or reach out to them and getting them to subscribe to your business via their mobile phones, and myriads of other challenges. Ordinarily, it's not necessary you must know all your mobile customers and clients in person before you can advertise your business to them through their mobile phones. But it's important you know what they need or what they're interested in before you can present your products or services to them. Else, if you always present a product or service they do not need at that particular time, they're unlikely to give any audience to your text messages, and most times, they delete such messages because you've not hit them at the point where it matters to them, and that will be a miss-target on your part. As a good mobile marketer, you definitely need to research and survey what your potential customers and clients needs at every point in time. Discover other trending issues and latest updates about your business, and also know the best time to call, engage and update them about your business through their mobile phone numbers. You can do this by, sampling a number of opinions regarding your business offline, or on social media, or you can even call them directly to get their opinions and other relevant informations that will help you to serve them better. You can also do online research using the internet to discover new and trending issues about your business, in other to avoid sending a blind text messages that does not meet the needs of your audience or appeal to their consciences. Successful business marketing is all about knowing what the people wants at any point and giving it to them. It is about meeting needs, filling a space and closing a gap. When your business cannot bring any solution to people's problems and challenges or be seen to satisfy the desires of your customers and clients, i can assure you of not going very far in that business. In other to become a successful mobile marketer, you must source for informations about your business and know what your mobilie customers and clients are interested in, and also the best time to reach or connect with them. Another challenge a lot of mobile marketers are confronted with, and which is very prominent, is lost of contact, that is lost of mobile numbers of their customers and clients. A lot of mobile marketers are often faced with the challenge of loosing the phone contacts of their mobile customers, or their customers and subscribers loosing or changing their phone numbers. In other to overcome this challenge, you need to do the needful. You need to backup all your phone contacts, or better still copy them out in your diary and keep them safe. This is very important because, should in case you loose your phone, or change your phone number, you'll still have the contacts of your customers and subscribers, and you can still be able to reach them. Now, perhaps its your subscribers and customers that looses their phones or probably, changed their phone numbers. You can't stop them from changing their phone contacts if they really want to. The only way to overcome this challenge and still keep in touch with your customers and subscribers, is to liase or register with the local mobile network or service providers in your areas. When you register with them, they can give you their current contacts, and even the contacts of new subscribers. Best Way To Use Facebook, Twitter And Linkedin For Social Media Marketing.

There's no doubt that Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin are among the major and very popular social networking sites we have in the world today. These social platforms are believed to have huge number of users and subscribers, which makes them very perfect for social media marketing. Facebook alone has more than one billion users worldwide and these number is increasing on daily basis, because more people are creating a Facebook account everyday. Twitter which is believed to be next to Facebook in terms of user population and the ease of connecting with anyone in the world is also growing rapidly in the number of users. And there has been an argument as to, between Linkedin and Google plus which one has more population or users. This arguments will continue to dominate the social media world until a proper data collection is carried out on both. But without taking anything away from Linkedin, Linkedin is undoubtedly one of the biggest social networking platforms that connects professionals in different fields together. Other major social media platforms your business needs to have a presence, and which you ought to be using for your social media marketing are: Pinterest, Instagram, Stumbleupon, Digg, Pocket and Reddit, so that you can make the most of your social media marketing. But for the purpose of this post, permit me to focus on these three: Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin which are easily accessible by anyone with a mobile phone. Now, like i've discussed in my previous post, social media marketing is simply marketing your business through the social media or using the social networking sites to advertise and market your business. This is done by driving traffic from various social media platforms to your business blog or website. Like you do know, the success of any business blog or website depends on the amount of traffic it generates daily. When you share contents about your business to these social platforms, there's a linkback to your blog or website when people clicks on the link. However, a lot of social media marketers has often complained of not getting enough traffic from social media to their blogs and websites. A number of factors might be responsible, and this is what this post is intended to focus on. To show you best way to use social media to market your business. One main factor that might be responsible for the inefficiency of your social media marketing is, "Content Blindness". Content blindness like i explained in my previous post, is when people gives blind eyes to your contents, because it does not appeal to their quests or desires. When your contents isn't in line with what your target audience are searching for or does not seem to bring a solution to their problems, they'll definitely give a blind eye to your contents on social media, and you'll be writing out of point. You must learn to create and publish contents that meets the needs and expectations of your readers. Don't see contents as only a means to an end. Rather create a symbiotic relationship between the demands of your audience, web design, your offers and your contents. Good content requires expertise on one hand, and entertainment on the other. Now, lets go into the nitty-gritty of this topic. Probably you've always created good contents, and you always try to keep up to date with trending issues and meeting the needs of your audience, yet you still find it very difficult driving traffic from Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin to your blog or website. One major factor that's responsible for this, is that, you're sharing your contents with the wrong people on these social networks. And i can tell you this for a fact, and from experience. You would agree with me that when you create a Facebook, Twitter or Linkedin profile, different kinds of people will send you a friend request on Facebook, follow you on Twitter and also connect with you on Linkedin, for various reasons. Probably, because you've been friends before they saw you on social media, they know you outside social media, or because they admire your profile or they like your profile picture, and not really because they're interested in your business or what you do. Therefore, if you share any content about your business with every Tom, Dick and Harry that has connected with you on these social platforms, chances are that majority of them will never click on the link to your blog or website, nor share it with their friends, followers or connections. This is one reason why your social media marketing has been inefficient. In other to overcome this inefficiency, you need to know the best way to use these social media platforms to achieve maximum result in your social media marketing.Rather than generalize your contents by sharing it with everyone on your social media profile timeline, i'll advice you target a particular audience and build a closer relationship with them.Create a Facebook page,Twitter list and Linkedin group for your business and share your contents there.

"Content Blindness": How You Can Overcome This Barrier.

In content marketing, it is often said that "Content Is King". This obviously might be very true. But in keeping up with standards in content creation, it will suffice to say that "Quality Content Is King". In this post, we are going to consider a very important barrier in content creation or creating quality contents, which is known as: "Content Blindness". What is content blindness? Straight away, Content blindness is when your readers or audience are blind to your contents, because it does not meet their needs and expectations, reflect their position or it falls below standards. When you create contents, and your contents fail to meet the yearnings of your readers or it totally disconnects rather than connect them to your arguments, then they'll become blind to your contents. Which is called "Content Blindness". The Content blindness of a user does not happen abruptly, it is the consequence of years of bad content management, in which a lot of content creators and webmasters sacrifices quick and cheap contents on the alter of genuine and quality contents. There are lots of quick and cheap contents that are available, but the truth is that not many of them actually converts, because they do not arouse or motivate the users to give a second look at them, hence they give it a blind eye. Content blindness is responsible for the low conversion into sales. A quality content isn't about how long or short it is. You can write a long content, but it gets very little attention and views, because it is totally disconnected from what people wants. You can also have a short content, that generates buzz and leads in sales. Because the content, web design, infographics and adverts satisfies the conscience of your audience. One way you can start eliminating content blindness is by changing or raising your standards. You must begin to change and raise your standards in other to start overcoming "content blindness" and make your contents conspicous and viewed by so many users. Start creating leads generating contents. Don't be in the band wagon of those who only believes that content is king. But raise your standards a bit higher and join those who believes that quality content is king. A good content is driven by expertise on one hand, and on the other hand entertainment to your audience. You must strike a balance between both in your content. Write like an expert, keep it real and entertaining to your target group or audience. Your content must reflect both expertise and entertainment for it to escape being overlooked by your target audience. Another concept to overcoming content blindness is to, create relevant contents that offers convincing arguments. Your target audience, loyal fans, followers, customers and clients can only be convinced by attractive contents that values relevancy, utility and entertainment. A combination of some basic SEO skills and techniques, PR, sales and marketing skills is the very foundation of an effective content marketing strategy. With an interesting and valuable web contents, fans, followers, customers and clients loyalty will increase automatically and you'll grow your target audience and your customers base. In conclusion, content blindness can only be conquered when you no longer consider the content as only a means to an end. But creating a symbiotic relationship between the demands of your target group, you web design, what you offer and of course your contents. Once your audience and users are convinced of your contents and assess them to be good enough, they'll gradually become less "blind" to your contents and you'll start generating leads.

Identifying a need or knowing what people are looking for and create contents that will meet those needs or bring a solution to their problems, and answer their questions is key to creating contents that converts and compel anyone to take action. A lot of content creators and marketers are not successful because they create contents without really identifying the needs of their readers. When creating contents that will convert and prompt your reader to take action, you need to be sure that it's what they've been yearning for. And your content must appeal to their conscience and convince them of bringing solutions to their problems or answer all their question. You can identify or know the needs and problems of your readers by sampling their thoughts and opinions on any issue. Ask them questions about their business, careers, jobs and what challenges they're confronted with in various areas of their endeavours. Then create contents that will help them overcome those challenges and meet their needs. When you solve a problem or fulfill a need, you're sure going to be adequately rewarded. Another way you can identify a need or know what people are looking for, is to do a research. Choose a particular topic you want to focus on, use search engines like,Google,Yahoo and Bing to discover what people are searching for on the internet in that area you've decided to focus on.Then create contents that will calm their nerves using relevant search engine keywords. This will also help your contents to rank higher in search results. Another strategy you must adopt in creating contents that converts is to,"Always Make Use of Personal Pronouns".The use of personal pronouns is very essential in creating contents that converts and generates sales. Rather than use the words,"They, Their, Them ,Our" use instead, "You, Your,He, She or Me". The use of these personal pronouns in content creating makes your content more direct and appealing to your readers. It will make them believe you're actually refering to them directly. Which is very important in making them take action. The last strategy i will recommend you to adopt is,"Be Emphatic".Using emphatic words like, "Will, Can, Shall" rather than "May or Might" or making emphatic senteces will make your readers have the confidence that you're sure of what you are saying.

Social Media Marketing: Strategies That Works.

In my last post, i did explain in details what social marketing is all about and how it's different from content marketing. Social media marketing is simply the process of driving traffic to your blog or website via the social networking sites like:Facebook,Twitter,Google plus, Linkedin,Instagram, Pinterest,Stumbleupon,Digg,Yelp, Foresquare etc. The social media is still the most effective, efficient and reliable source of traffic to any blog or website. Facebook alone has over a billion users worldwide, and people use it for social interaction and to keep up-to-date with recent developments. Twitter, which is a social micro-blogging platform, and next to Facebook in terms of user population, is used to share stuffs like, breaking news in business, health, technology, fashion and all other trending stuffs around the world. You can't wish away the power of social media in transforming your business. The social media is a very powerful tool that you can utilize to drive huge traffic to your blog or website. But it has some strategies that you must follow to make it very efficient and effective. In this post, i'm going to show you some strategies that will make your social media marketing very effective. Probably, you've not being getting enough traffic to your blog or website, this post will show you why it's so. And if you can follow these strategies, you'll be getting enough traffic through the social networking sites. The first strategy to making your social media marketing effective, is to ensure you have a presence on all major social networking sites listed above. A presence on all this social sites will expand your view, and give your blog or website a wider audience participation and readership. You can become a social media celebrity by ensuring you have a presence on all major social networking sites, and update them frequently. After making sure your business have a presence on all the social sites, the next important thing, is to "Connect with the right people". Why do i say so? Because the right people will help to promote and improve your business. Who do you connect with on social media? This is a very pertinent question you must ask yourself, in other to begin to troubleshoot where the inefficiency in your social media marketing business is coming from. Who are your friends, followers or associates on social media? This is one great mistake so many people always make, connecting with the wrong people on social media. People who are not tune with their business or interested in what they do. For instance, if majority of your friends on Facebook are people who love fashion, football or anything that has to do with entertainment, there's every likelihood that they'll never click on any link you share that has to do with your business, which will take them to your blog or website to read the details. It is because that's not where their interest is. Every human being has an interest and something that triggers their passion. If business isn't their interest, be sure they'll never click on your link. Some might only like it, but they'll never take a visit to your blog or website by clicking on the link. While others will simply overlook , and pretend not to see it. Similarly on twitter, which i consider the best platform for social media marketing. You also need to follow the right people, and let the right people follow you back. Some users always makes the mistake of following every Tom, Dick and Harry on twitter because they want a follow back and increase the number of their followership. No, not so. Twitter is meant for connecting with likeminds, people who shares the same ideas with you and whose tweets are somewhat similar to yours. It is better to have few twitter followers who are very effective, engaging and contributes to your tweets by retweeting and favouriting them and also mentions you in their tweets, than having numerous followers who are very lackadaisical and insentive towards your tweets. You must not follow back everybody that follows you on twitter. Because some users just follow you because they want a follow back, not because they love your tweets. These are people that show high insensitivity towards your tweets. They'll never neither retweet, favourite, mention nor even send you a twitter message. I call them "Ghost followers".Carefully outline your twitter profile, follow, and let the right people follow you. When you follow and allow the right people to follow you, they'll surely click on your link, and you'll drive more traffic to your blog or website via twitter. The last but not the least of the strategies, and also very important is your: "Content and Post title". How great is your content? And how fascinating is your post title? I've always talked about content creation, content is king. And it is key to success in social media marketing. Great content will keep your readers coming back to your blog. While fascinating content will make people click on your link.
